If you play with missiles fired after ships move then as soon as you get
the
enemy within 18mu you can fire a big salvo and be assured they will all
hit.
You could even place them within 24 mu because the missiles get an
attack
run.
If used like that don't missiles become a direct fire weapon that always
hits.
There are the MT missiles if you want persistent ordnance that acts like
torpedos or cruise missiles.
The main skill in ordnance is in the guessing of the enemy intentions
and
correct placement of missiles. If you replace the missiles with a move
after
ships move then you have replaced pulse torpedos with missiles.
