I like both systems. Chit pulls give you more combos with little mental
expenditure, but require that you have people who can put chits away
properly (we do so have had no troubles, from what I've seen on the net
others have not been so fortunate). 

Opposed die rolls can be faster so long as they're aren't too many
needed.

Having played chits and alternative die rolling resolutions for DS I'd
say they both work fine, I personally like the chit pulls more and have
found them easier to teach to kids, but I can live with die rolling DS
too, it usually just takes a bit more mental flexing ;)
