 never heard of Firefly when it was on, only seen ads for the DVD.

Is it any good?

I am suspicious of any sci-fi from the man who brought us "Buffy the
Vampire Slayer" :)

Think of  Firefly as cross between Traveller and Gunsmoke, I liked
some and didn't care for some of the episodes. Over all it was 
enjoyable, with the train robbery being the best.

Don
