Yes.

(OK, the "max range" in this case is the max range at which you can
place 
the missile marker when you launch it; it then can go another 6 mu from 
there to reach the nearest enemy ship. The reason I point this out is
that 
I've met at least one player who incorrectly thought that the missiles' 
*absolute* max range, as measured from the point of launch to the final 
target location, was 24 and 36 mu respectively.)
