Billy JimBob and his group 'o badies are awaitin' at the Cor-Ral. When
Jeb BillyBob
and his cronies pop up on radar.
Now that the setting is done here is my dilemma:
When firing at a group 'o dudes, using some Advanced Assault Rifles and
a Gauss
machine Gun in support, after the number of potential hits are revealed,
(p.36),
(assuming that the firer exceeded the targets roll, therefore inflicted
enough to
deem the result to be FULLY EFFECTIVE), states that the firer and the
target make a
roll of a single die each, the firer rolls the die type for the Impact
Value for the
weapons used, and the target rolls the die type based on the type of
armor being
worn.
Now, I'm not a rocket scientist, I just make things, but if the Advanced
Assault
Rifles have a I.V. of D10, and the Gauss Machine Gun has a I.V. of D12,
then which
one would be rolled for to determine whether or not a wound or a kill,
or nothing at
all has been inflicted? The Assault Rifle, or the Gauss? I understand
if both I.V.
are the same, it would make no difference, but deciding on rolling a D10
verses a
D12, not a hard choice there. If there is a choice that needs to be
made? If it were
me, "Rock and Roll baby! D12! Git some!"

So........ how is it resolved?
