Well, here's a quick run-down on all of them in exact terms, with the
class
of K-gun, their mass, their average damage, their average armor
penetration,
and the average of each per NPV, respectively.

K1 - 2, 1.166666, 0.1666666, 0.583333, 0.083333
K2 (one arc)- 3, 2.666666, 0.6666666, 0.888888, 0.222222
K3 - 5, 4.5, 1.5, 0.9, 0.3
K4 - 8, 6.666666, 2.6666666, 0.833333, 0.333333
K5 - 11, 9.166666, 4.166666, 0.833333, 0.3787878
K6 - 14, 11, 5, 0.785714, 0.357142

As you can see, the K3 is indeed the most efficient weapon for doing
total
raw damage, whereas the K5 is the most efficient at doing
armor-penetrating
damage.  Which of the two you'd prefer to use depends on whether your
enemies are using much armor or not.
