One of the problems with Line Ahead is that you can't really use
squadron movement because your ships are not all doing the same thing
at the same time--that is, if they all turn at the same time, they're
no longer in line ahead.

OTOH, Line Ahead is not a particularly useful formation, since FT
ships don't have the same control and firing arc limitations that WWI
ships (and predecessors) had.  You might find that a box or line
abreast works better.
