Another Claymore purchase-
Osprey 239 "The Russian Civil War (1): The Red Army" is fascinating, and
shows a shock trooper of the Army of Taman, with a single red chevron on
the
left sleeve, "symbolizing the Army's breaking through enemy lines" - as
the
Soviet Army still had a Guards Taman Division in the '90s at least, it
would
make a nice piece of chrome for ESU units.

The same book also has the uniform of the Red Hundred (Trotsky's
armoured
train crew) head to toe red leather including pointy budyenovka hat,
rather
like a tooled-up garden gnome, shown being laughed at by other Soviet
troops, and a general staff official in (gulp) black boots, scarlet
breeches
piped yellow, crimson tunic trimmed black and silver, and scarlet cap
piped
yellow. Straight out of Games Workshop, but it would make a good visible
target for a SG2 scenario.
