LOL--definately no body armor  for infantrymen.  

other than a tin hat.

bolt action rifles are definately the lower of the to ratings.

also remember some Home Guard units were issued  Martini-Henry	breech
loading rifles from the  19th Century until enough bolt action rifles
beame available.

SMG rating  LASERLIGHT offers is good.

closest thing to a SAW would be BREN guns, LEWIS guns,	in  the Regular
Army or Home Guards. or BARs.

you could use some really antique  armored cars and tank, as well as
some armored   vehicls hastily converted from civilian vehicles

usually farm tractors  with boilerplate added.

some where i have  seen a photograph of a Home Guard MG post coverng a
stretch of  beach with an honest to GOD Victorian Army	GATLING gun
poking out of the sandbags. . . .
