Fortunately for we Australians we never get past using Sheep as farm
animals :)

But that's doesn't mean that there is some strangeness in Australia 
regarding the worship of sheep. For instance in the town time forgot, 
Goulburn, NSW the local primitives have constructed a large concrete
merino 
ram (anatomically correct too).

The locals obviously worship this icon and have forced young people 
(threatening them with money) to dress up in a sheep suit and become the

sheep god's avatar, who is then set upon by small children.

Now I wonder which list member I could be referring to
