Do NOT forget Sideshow Toys! I have two of their Civil War figures and
they
are excellent. They are pretty close to Dragon in quality (better than
21st
Century, anyway) though not quite as articulate. Their clothing is bang
on.
The way they did the 57th Virginia's felt hat is excellent. All the gear
is
weathered. They have another set (including a member of the Iron
Brigade!)
out, with a third set coming. Oh... and they have a 1:6 scale cannon,
perhaps
a 12lb Napoleon (though I'm not positive about the cannon type)!

Sideshow also makes a WWI range. Their other figures are movie and TV
based.
They make 1:6 scale Buffy The Vampire Slayer figures, and... drool...
Monty
Python and the Holy Grail!
