There's some boarding stuff in RoE, but more in Once a Hero (the
preceding
book in the series).
Now out in UK editions, BTW, and recently reviewed in SFX. Quite good, a
nicely "flawed" heroine, makes a change from Honor (and no empathic
treecats!!!!).
