While I agree with Owen's reasoning, DS2 p. 33 states "Note that
elements
which carry only close-range 'defensive' weapons such as Observer teams,
Engineers, Special-Weapons crews (eg: GMS teams) and such may NOT take
part
in Infantry Firefights."
