I vote A, since the recent finding of humongous (larger than
Jupiter)
planets very near to their star (as in clser than the earth and even
mercury as compared to our system) in some of the nearby star systems
has
thrown a number of theories about jovian formation out the door. I
think
that Popular Science just had an article about some of them, there was
something on their website but it didn't get into specifics, I thnk it
was
the September issue.
