oh, please don't get me wrong here: i am certainly not implying female
geeks are lesbians. i'm sure there's no particular correlation there.

i was just observing that most geeks - not all, but certainly most - are
male, thus requiring somewhat unusual population-replacement methods. of
course, in the future, we may have gender equality, in which case this
problem goes away.

my suggestion concerning the lesbian commune was that the Planet ... erm
... outsource its child-bearing requirements; this would be a mutually
beneficial deal, as neither colony could produce children alone, and
geek
genes are probably pretty good - high intelligence.

of course, both worlds could actually produce children on their own,
using
mad science, which is probably the best option as usual.
