Glover, spake thusly upon matters weighty:

Don't think so. This guy is holding his weapon at the front of the
receiver area/the magazine feed lip (maybe with a few fingers on the
mag), and the weapon is about half way between the standard over and
under combat rifle and most of the sniper weapons I've seen. I didn't
see any signs of camo cloth wrapped around the forestock because
there does not seem to be one. The barrel seems to exit the receiver
group and extend to a large flash hider/muzzle break but appears to
not have any forestock attached - the barrel is free hanging. If it
helps, his right shoulder is kind of leaned forwards. And my
description of the weapon was a little off, it points not at his left
foot, but about (in scale) about 6-8' out from it (it's at about a 45
degree angle). So I'm still at a loss to who this guy is.
I'm looking on the geohex homepage....
Now, take the guy on the far right, and put a very different looking
rifle in his hands and you'll pretty much have the figure I'm looking
for.

It might? be a GL of some type - the flash hider/muzzle break is big.
But I thought that was just for sturdiness.
If you have any other ideas?

I don't have my 2300 handy, but I will check. I am pretty sure the
fringe around his neck is the fur lining, and he looks like he might
be wearing a thicker jacket than some of the others. So, Squad leader
he is. Thanks! Do you know the catalog #?
Plus on a third guy, who is standing figure with what looks like a
SAW slung over his right shoulder (think he has a helmet on), the
weapon kind of disappears under the right arm at the bottom, but the
top part sure looks like an M60 kind of SAW (rather than like the
long wierd looking they've given the other mercs who're firing them)
or maybe a Mossberg bullpup shotgun front end. I'm not sure if it is
a saw or a combat shotgun. I'd have guessed (based on other SAWS I've
seen the OU figures with) that it was a SAW, but the sling he's got
on it (over his right shoulder) has what looks like loops for 12
gauge shells - which would have no place on a SAW. So is it a
shotgun? Or some other third creation?
Thanks for the info. These are excellent figures. I just want to know
which ones are which so I can order more!
Tom.
