White is one of the most difficult colors to get to look right on a
miniature, because almost any attempt at a wash discolors the entire
area,
and drybrushing over an off-white color never seems to get a true white
brightness to it.

One method, which works for me, though it's also somewhat time
consuming,
is to paint the entire figure white, and then use a diluted blue-grey
mix
and a small brush to do the creases/cracks. Capillary action will give
you
a hand - occasionally too much of a hand - so be prepared to do some
touch-ups. Recessed lines are the easiest to deal with, and raised
panels
tend to be most difficult.

Hopefully this helps,
Schoon
