SPI many years ago brought out 2 space games, one a Wargame, the other
(later) one an RPG.
"Starforce Alpha Centauri" has a hex-grid map of a radius of all stars
about 20 LY from earth, with altitudes. So you get a 3-D map.
"Universe", the RPG, has a similar map, only on a cartesian grid, and
with spectral classes added and out to 30 LY.
You can still buy these 2nd hand.
