Ogre minis is nice, but not exactly a hot seller around here. I just
cleared our hobby shop's (yes, there's just one in Finland that stocks
any
minis besides GW -- and they're certainly not expanding, half the non-GW
stuff is at 50% off) remaining stocks of Ogre minis at a very nice
discount because they weren't selling.

BTech setting is noticeably different, and their figures are 50% off
too... whereas the few GZG rulebooks disappear pretty snappy from the
shelves (the limited few they ever have). BTech IS a good seller, just
not
the minis. I think most people play it with counters.

Can't say about Starfire, but I wouldn't call SFB a miniatures game.
It's never been popular here, possibly because of the amount of
rulebooks needed just to get started.

Very true, but someone looking for a microscale SF tank game is going to
see GW Epic promotion and players first. Someone looking for space naval
game is going to have to look a bit harder and that IMHO gives smaller
games hidden on the shelves a chance.
