Thats exactly how I use all the ESU carrier types. IMO purpose built
dedicated carriers are far to expensive to launch and carry so few
points
worth of fighters which often don't even get a chance to be reused.
Remember a Pulse torpedo a day keeps the NAC away!!

I've always imagined the ESU to use 'Battleship Carriers' rather than
the
'Fleet Carriers' that the NAC uses. The model fits this idea well.
