Another element is this:
Defining "point values" in the real world is not a precise science.
An estimation of one's force and the enemy's depends on too many
variables. If I believe that the elan or inherent Teutonic racial
superiority or better training or superior doctrine of my force makes
it equal to a materially superior force, I might give battle.
And under some circumstances, I might be right.
