One idea for that (inspired from Silent Death die system): roll 3dx =
squad size, the middle die is the number of figures affected by
artillery.
Eg: squad of 8, rolls 3d8.  If results are 3,5,7; 5 figures are
affected.  If rolls are 1,1,8; 1 figure is affected.
