I would imagine that if they are using a conventional weapon spread that
they are not possessed of too many amazing natural abilities. I found
that when I wrote up my Tonk (homebrew conversion off of old Warzone
figs), that sticking to subtle modifiers for reactions, detection, etc.
worked best. This made my aliens, alien, but not to crazy.

P.S. Still looking for a home for my Tonk as I have stopped doing sci-fi
in 25mm.
