One logical reason I can think of for banning livestock, at least on the
station proper, is the worry about disease. If you consider the traffic
come
through a station like B5 and the diversity of life that makes it way
through there, the possibility of catastrophic infection is great to
begin
with. Add to this livestock, from which humanity has acquired so many of
its
lethal diseases and this could be one reason to regulate any sort of
livestock right out of the picture.
