Interestingly, the RN, who in the past have plundered the classics for 
ship names like they were about to expire, doesn't seem to have used 
that name. The only mention I could find of an "HMS Uranus" was in a 
novel by Stephen Coulter called "The Shroud", in which the Uranus is a 
nuclear sub that "plunges to the bottom of the ocean in forbidden 
waters." Sounds a tad foreboding... <g>
