I prefer Star Control 1. These days you need to run it using DosBox,
but
good gameplay still (and an effective node-based strategic system).
The only thing is to disable the Earthling Cruiser in all the
scenario's.
Its almost impossible to beat under computer control without hacking the
ship files.
