Unless you're a Lensman, in which case you're fighting
in an inertialess[1] field. Massless bullets do no damage against
you, but if you can get the enemy between a wall and your axe,
you can slice through them without them bouncing away.
Or at least, that's the PSB EE 'Doc' Smith used...
[1] Space combat was in massless (not weightless) conditions.
Everything (de)accelerated instantly as soon as any force
was applied, so the argument was you needed a melee weapon
which you could apply continuous force to, in order to do
any damage. Hey - it's space opera!
