I wanted to get people's thoughts on ROV's and UAV's in gaming in
general, especially in DS2 and	SG. I know that unmanned drones have
long been a staple in Sci Fi, but given the extent to which they're
ALREADY in use IRL, and extrapolating the advances possible in the
future, to what extent are they underrepresented/misrepresented in
said games? I've never played SG so I have no opinion there, but it
seems that in DS, they can be addressed in two ways:

Extremely small scout ROV/UAV's seem to be below the granularity of
DS2, and are furthermore easily explained as part of the
communications matrix that allows players to see the whole battlefield
so well.

LArger armed ROV/UAV's could be created as Class 1 vehicles using the
AI rules (for all their shortcomings).

Any other ideas?

Wth regards to modelling ROV's in general:

I have a set of three GZG Paladins in 6mm (DSM 103). The weapon on
top is, I believe, supposed to be a HEL, and its shape and vaguely
optical look means it does a yeoman's job of looking like a camera.
Thus, they seem to make excellent 25mm scout ROV's.

I'm thinking of getting some 6mm Rommels (DSM 110) and putting their
big gun turrets on the bodies of Hunters (DSM 106) to represent
GPMG-armed ROV's, and also thinking of getting some 6mm Strikers (DSM
115) to represent GMS/L launcher-armed ROV's. I corresponded with
Jon, and he let me know that the Rommel turrets WOULD fit on the
Hunters, and that the Striker boxes were the right size for 25mm GMS'.
