Oh, ok. I htought you were referring to on-board close air support. I
agree that the offboard support options should include not just offboard
arty but also standoff air support.

Well, for the time being, in DS II, it might be an effective stopgap
measure.

True, which brings us back to the idea of different classes/speeds of
Aerospace craft with appropriate modifiers to their attacks and defense.
But an MDC mated to a dedicated ADFC should have plenty of velocity to
catch
even a super-fast mover.
