Austrians are good, especially when compared to Spanish or Neapolitan
troops.

Then those of us who like Austrians (Nice troops on the average, some
elites, lost most battles, most of the wars but stuck around stubbornly
trying until they were on the final winning side - extra points for
endurance. That's something a Presbyterian can admire. <grin>) get
laden
all kinds of limitations in most rules. Of course when it comes to
overall officer quality... Napoleonic Austrians have to look the word up
in the dictionary.
Not much of an Anglophile in that period (gee, I wonder why...) I prefer
Austrians except in/on the Peninsula when I prefer Spanish or (if I must
be Anglo-Allied) Portuguese. When the Spanish I measure 'success' by
how
long I can stay on the field... and if I can prevent the Franco-allied
forces from achieving THEIR victory conditions.
Gracias,
Glenn
