True enough.  However, the original discussion never
mentioned other species, so it seems reasonable for
Adrian & John not to have accounted for that frame of
reference in their responses.

This brings home just how important it is to define
terms and parameters for a discussion, to avoid
confusion and to provide participants with the ability
to weigh all relevant information.
