Only very marginally, thanks to the abysmally poor range of the PIAT.
(In
DS game terms, of course, dropping a PIAT bomb onto an M1 turret *is* a
Close Assault; in SG you might be able to stand off one or two on-table
inches outside Close Assault range.)
