I've started trying to stir up interest in Full Thrust in my neck of the
woods
and had a real good time of it. EVERYONE who has tried the rules is
enthusiastic in their enjoyment of it.

The first time I played a game with a friend at my house kinda got me
started
at the whole "promoting/recruiting" thing for FT. Since that day on the
22nd
of August my list of actively involved FT player had grown to include 8
people with more people expressing interest in playing every time I run
a
game.

I've put together a "log" of sorts with all of the postings to our local

gaming group's message board so that I could share them with the group.

I also put them on a site so that those not interested wouldn't have to
wade
through the long email that would have resulted from my sending the
"log"
straight to the list.

The bandwidth cap on that free site is kinda low, so hopefully you guys
won't
"slashdot" it too bad... *grin*

We've taken it really slow, introducing new aspect of the game like
fighters
and SMLs, each game. We've also restricted players to using only human
ships
(FB1, basically). The interest at the gaming store in the SV is high
enough
that I think we're going to have at least two players jump in once we
decide
to include them.

Enjoy!

Now I wonder if Mr. Tuffley would like to sponsor an event with some GZG
swag
for the participants (hint-hint).
