This assumes that you have FTL communications that allow the pursuers to
jump in close to the defender. Long-range FTL communications is not
normally
part of the Tuffleyverse. You need courier boats.

A way around the problem would be that jump-in points have to be defined
several rounds in advance.

Good point. I was thinking along the lines of multiple tables you start
on
table (A) the opponent on say table (M). From there your opponents and
you are limited to a two table jump in any direction. Kind of gives you
the
cat and mouse feel of "The Lone Grey Wolf". For this to work though
you'd
need more than one team chasing you.
