Looking how to depict a Heavy Scrambler

Subject: Looking how to depict a Heavy Scrambler

Okay, my Blarads are equipped with Blast Rifles (#1) and Hand Scramblers
(#2) as personal weapons. They peaceful but will fight ferociously when
provoked. They are fond of scrambler weaponry.

An Infantry squad (always heavy) has seven soldiers. They carry four
Blast Rifles and three Hand Scramblers. Platoons are made up of three
such squads, a weapons squad (2 light PML Teams and two heavy
scramblers)
with a team total of 9 soldiers counting leaders and a HQ element.

I * was * going to use mortars as Heavy Scramblers since they are two
man
team but there is a catch - see below.

The Company has 3 platoons, a weapons platoon and a HQ element. And
what
does the Company level weapons platoon have? Well, an infinite repeater
squad with 4 medium IR and 9 soldiers plus two Light (emphasis nor
volume) MORTAR teams with a four soldier team each. There is a Platoon
HQ element also.

Okay, now if they have Heavy Scramblers and Mortars also then I should
find a different appearing weapon for the Heavy scramblers than
Mortars.... but what?	That's the problem. I need some weapon to equip
two man team of Blarads with that does not look like a Mortar or a
normal
sized Grenade Launcher or an infinite repeater (a machine gun for all
practical purposes.)

I could scratch build one but if anyone has any ideas about a weapon
from
a weapons sprue that could work please let me know. I don't plan to
have
more than Platoon of these guys but that means I need two of these Heavy
Scramblers. There is not a big write up of these weapons in the rules
but these guys are strong - in the original rules Blarad body armor
approached light Power Armor in the penetration table.

>From Space Marines:

#1 Blasters: These are the basic weapons of most known races. They fire
a pulse or, in advanced versions, a series of pulses of energy with
great
effect. They are unaffected by smoke, haze, etc. (except for the
visibility of the firer) but they do create smoke effects when they hit
significant bodies of water. They do not cause effects simply because
of
light drizzle or rain.

Note: In Space Marines, very much a skirmish to semi-skirmish 1:1 rules
set of the of 1980, these were the next technological jump from lasers.

#2 Scramblers: These are weapons similar to grenade launchers which fire
a small shell.	This shell rather than exploding, gives off a burst of
energy which tends to scramble the molecules of the target, or more
correctly, of anything within a given radius of the point of detonation.

The effects of a scrambler are very similar to those of a disrupter but
they can also cause certain living creatures, such as trees or some
forms
of animal life, to explode due to the release of pressure in their
cells...Any tree that is directly hit by a scrambler has a two-thirds
chance of exploding with the effects of a grenade. Any tree within the
radius of effects of a scrambler has a one-third chance of such an
explosion with the effects of a regular high explosive grenade.
