Very true, even limited budgets should be able to afford $1 (US) for a
structure.
As for how thoughtless (More than selfish I think and hope) we war
gamers
are, well, John McEwan (Starguard rules/Reviresco Miniatures) gave away
beta sets of his 1/300th SF rules (I don't have any and can't remember
the name) for years but quit when he had not received * one * single
feedback about them. And in the 30 plus years ago when edition 1 came
out it was a nice regional phenomenon (and about the only set of SF
rules
on the Left Coast of the USA at that time.)
But we never have had a reputation for social skills in abundance as a
group.
