They were -- and are, assuming that they made it home in one piece (I
haven't dared check yet) -- "Battlelords of the 23rd Century" miniatures
called "Arachnids." Bot23C is an RPG system, which I believe to be out
of
print, that had a small line of miniatures associatd with it. All were
nice, but the Arachnids were stunning...and dirt cheap, once the line
was
discontinued. I've got another 15 of those suckers waiting to be
painted.
Eventually.

I'm not quite functional enough to post an AAR myself, but I have to say
that the convention was a great deal of fun. My own game (I am curious:
George) went off much better than I had any right to expect, considering
that the players were consistently coming up with ideas that I hadn't
expected at all!

What the old saying? "No scenario survives contact with the players?"
