That never felt quite right to me, considering the
range of size classes in DS and the vehicle and mech
tonnages available in BT (5-200 tons for vehicles,
20-100 tons for mechs).  So I kind of worked out a
slightly more nebulous ratio:

Class 1-2:  Very Light Vehicles (5-20 tons, Protomechs
would fall in this category)
Class 3: Light Vehicles & Mechs (20-35 tons)
Class 4: Medium Vehicles & Mechs (40-55 tons)
Class 5: Heavy Vehicles & Mechs (60-75 tons)
Class 6: Assault Vehicles & Mechs (80-100 tons)
Class 7: Oversized Assault Vehicles (105-200 Tons)
