Just a note:

Flagship Games (http://www.flagshipgames.com/) sells a really nice
ariel-and-base combo called a Battlepole for Mecha! and Starships!.
(Yes, I'm the last living Mecha! player; its all so sad.)  They're
good quality and come with nice, thick, heavy bases that keep you from
having to worry about tipping it over, even at flightband 6.
