Ummm. . . whether or not he could is an open question.
 Much of it is the Dragon which goes away if he has to
run.  But generally they get inserted close to the
target, shoot off all the Dragons, and then run.  More
of it is water and food which goes away at a fairly
high rate throughout the mission.
