Basically none of this is right. Wave guns allow you to use thrust in
the
same turn you're firing them and you only have to drop your front arc
screen
in order to do so. Usually when wave guns are in play, they're fired
first
in the turn so there isn't any monkeying around with things like saying
your
front screen is up and then you fire it later in the turn.
Nova cannons _do_ require you to not use any thrust or any screens, and
both
wave guns and nova cannons allow you to fire PDS in the same turn.
