[Tomb] Why assume this isn't preplotted? Why assume this isn't entirely
done under computer control with the guy encased in anti-G shock-gel to
let the pod manouver at some nasty G levels for self defense if
required? You assume the guy has to fly the thing.... Even a grav chute
can probably be programmed. Heck, nowadays a cheap model helo with a GPS
can make very precise landings, as can artillery rounds. Don't see why
this has to be problematic for a man sized drop cap in 2183. 

And your assault marines probably ARE an elite force. The traveller
model makes sense here - you'd deploy them in PA for maximum impact.
