GENERAL  WINDER, KARL, was the politiclly appointed and promoted
AMERICAN general officer  responsibable for the dfense of WASHINGTON,
DC, during the WAR OF 1812.

he was a real winner. if i could be done  wrong, he  did it.  it it
could be left undone, he  did it.

and when the BATTLE OF BLADENS -BURG,	a small town on the outskirts of
DC, was fought and  lost,  under his  command, he and his  staff weere
among the first of the US forces to cut and run for it.

LOL, but he had GOOD POLITCAL CONNECTIONS. . . . .

i  assume the  other  references to folks were	self explanatory.
