GENERAL WINDER, KARL, was the politiclly appointed and promoted
AMERICAN general officer responsibable for the dfense of WASHINGTON,
DC, during the WAR OF 1812.
he was a real winner. if i could be done wrong, he did it. it it
could be left undone, he did it.
and when the BATTLE OF BLADENS -BURG, a small town on the outskirts of
DC, was fought and lost, under his command, he and his staff weere
among the first of the US forces to cut and run for it.
LOL, but he had GOOD POLITCAL CONNECTIONS. . . . .
i assume the other references to folks were self explanatory.
