[OT] Wet Navy History, in the news

According to sources in the Solomon Islands, Robert Ballard has found
the
remains of John F. Kennedy's PT 109. The wreckage was found in deep
water.
And based on another deep water find in the same region, it would appear
wooden vessels are better preserved in deep water then in shallow water.
The
National Geographic web site should carry the details in a few days. No
more
details are available at this time. Nor has there been an official
announcement, as of yet.
