C and C, AEW, Observation, coastal patrol, and rear area heavy lift all
seem 
more plausible as uses than as bombers.  Mind you, I'm all for 
blimps/dirigibles even in hard SF settings, but I have to say, certain
uses 
for them are NOT very likely.
