Subject: Diemos GEV tank construction
List vehicle builders,
At ECC this year, I bought a Diemos GEV tank in
25mm. It comes with a huge main gun, a skirt,
turret, and main body (and a hatch I think). And
a LAD?/PDS?
Two construction problems:
1) Where to put the LAD (AA GMS)/PDS unit?
Does it go on the thin back part of the turret or
is it meant to go to the right of the
Commander's hatch?
2) How to counterbalance the overbalanced
turret? I mounted the turret far back, but the
huge weight of the lead main armament is
leaving the turret tipped forward.... obviously I
need to do something to counterweight the
back. Any suggestions on best approach? First
idea is lead washers and dremel to install them
in back underside of turret, but this sounds
ugly.
Your input appreciated.
