Both. What are they wearing? No 2 Dress? Or are they wearing combat
fatigues. Or something else?

Combat weapons and gear plus something to indicate to all around that
they are MPs and should be attended to.

One has to suspect there are some similarities between NAC uniforms
and current Numbers of uniform dress for different units. No 1 being
super formal. No2 being mostly formal, etc.
