In my single excursion into colonial wrgaming (pickup game at a shop in
Tucson) I had a Zulu impi roll BADLY on a charge against a British
artillery unit (I caught them from a flank) and didn't manage to charge
home. Most of my unit was killed the next time the guns fired. The owner
of the miniatures I was using picked up my leader figure and repainted
the shield white, marking a serious demotion in Zulu society (busted
back to virgin !).
On the whole, Sword & Flame is a nice set of rules.
