String them on a piece of wire, add odds and ends, paint them to make

look like spaceships.

Aim for something like the space ship from "2001, a space Odyssey", or
some
of the 1950's futuristic design consisting of several spheres behind
each
other. You could also arrange them in blobs or similar.

e.g.:
