those have been declared obsolete and foisted off on 3rd thru 7th world
buyers since the 60s!

peace corps were issued them in the 60s for a personnel weapon for the
lovely assignments in flower land.

YUP! there are privates (and ncos and officers too) who have their
heads so far up their  asses they  never see daylight.

BUT. . . .

in situations  where the shit is dead serious,	they either pull their
heads out and  function, or some one pulls their head  out for them
(after a ferocious ass kicking or serious warnings delivered in other
modes), or they  join the greatful dead.

 combat soldiers tend to be deadly serious about staying  alive  and
have  a notoriously low  tolerance  level for idiots, jerk-offs,
dickheads, and yes men.

sooo, even the	most braindead of other ranks and officers know that
there are worse things in life	that the army can hand out than
non-judicial puishments, courts martial,  bad EERs or OERs.
